Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-27
This Privacy Policy explains how erlc.cc (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use https://erlc.cc and related services (collectively, the “Service”). The Service is operated by Sverre Sigurdsen, an individual based in Norway.
For any privacy questions, email support@erlc.cc.
1. What we collect
When you create or use an account, we collect:
- Discord account info — your Discord user ID, username, avatar URL, and the list of Discord servers you are in (only used to verify server ownership when you claim a server). We request the Discord OAuth scopes
identifyandguilds. - Roblox account info — your Roblox user ID, username, display name, and avatar URL. We request the Roblox OAuth scopes
openidandprofile. - Profile content you create — bio, social links, training/certifications, pinned media, availability, and rank claims you submit.
- Verification approvals — when a server owner verifies a rank claim on your profile, we store the approval, the rank details, and any notes the owner attaches.
- Technical data — IP address, browser user agent, timestamps of significant actions (signup, login, server claim, rank approval). Used for abuse prevention only.
- Payment proof — if you purchase the Premium tier via Roblox Game Pass, we may receive screenshots or transaction proof you submit to our support Discord. Used solely to verify your purchase.
We do not collect or store:
- Your Roblox or Discord password
- Your Roblox in-game activity, friends list, inventory, or chat history
- Payment card data (we do not process card payments)
- Real-name / real-address information
2. How we use your information
- To display your profile publicly at
erlc.cc/{your-handle}(unless you opt to unlist it) - To verify your Roblox identity and prevent impersonation
- To let server owners verify your rank claims
- To display ranks, training, and history on your profile
- To prevent abuse, fraud, and Terms violations
- To process your Premium upgrade if you purchase it
- To respond to support requests
3. What is public
By default, your profile is public and search-engine indexable at erlc.cc/{your-handle}. This includes your handle, Roblox username, avatar, bio, social links, training/certifications, pinned media, availability, and verified rank cards.
You can opt out at any time in your settings — your profile will be unlisted from our directory and a noindex meta tag will be added to prevent search engine listing.
4. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:
- Publicly as part of your profile (see “What is public”)
- With server owners you have claimed ranks at, to enable verification (they see your Roblox username, the rank you claimed, and any notes they attach)
- With service providers that host the Service (Vercel for the frontend, Cloudflare for DNS/tunnel, our own home server for the backend and database). These providers process data only as needed to run the Service.
- As required by law or to protect our rights and the safety of users
5. Your rights (GDPR / EEA users)
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate personal data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Withdraw consent and disconnect Discord or Roblox accounts at any time
- Object to certain processing
- Receive a copy of your data in a portable format
To exercise any of these rights, email support@erlc.cc. We respond within 30 days.
Account deletion is also available self-serve in your account settings — when you delete your account, your profile and all rank cards are permanently removed within 30 days. Verification records on the server-owner side may persist as part of the server's history.
6. Data retention
- Active accounts: data retained while the account exists
- Deleted accounts: removed within 30 days
- Logs: anonymized or deleted within 90 days
- Payment proof: kept for the lifetime of your Premium subscription
7. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13. If you are under 13, do not use the Service. If we learn we have collected data from a user under 13, we will delete it. Users aged 13–17 should use the Service with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
8. Security
We use industry-standard practices — HTTPS for all traffic, hashed sessions, scoped OAuth tokens, and minimum-privilege access to the database. No system is perfectly secure; we encourage you to use a strong unique password on your Discord and Roblox accounts.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced on the Service. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
